Perpetua
& Felicity
Perpetua
was a young (22 at the time of her martyrdom) Christian, noble-woman, and
mother from Carthage in North Africa. Felicity was a Christian and a slave who
gave birth shortly before her martyrdom. Refusing to renounce their faith under
Emperor Septimius Severus’ persecution, they were beheaded.
